Supporting Coventry’s sickest and most vulnerable residents since 1980
The Trust was founded in 1980 by the late Dr David Scott, an eminent Coventry GP and founder President of Rotary Club Coventry Jubilee. His vision was simple and powerful: to provide practical, immediate help to the extremely sick and needy citizens of Coventry.
Today, the Trust continues this mission with the same dedication. We remain one of the largest charities in Coventry offering direct support to terminally ill and mentally ill individuals who have little or no income.
We support individuals who:
Individuals cannot apply directly—every request must come through a qualified professional to ensure funds reach those most in need.
We currently receive around 50 cases every month. Each approved request receives between £250 and £500 to provide essential, immediate support.
Funds are typically sent directly to the referring organisation to ensure they are used for the intended purpose—such as white goods, carpets, furniture, or basic living essentials. During the COVID‑19 pandemic, we adapted by sending funds directly to clients when necessary.
We are deeply grateful to the charities who make our work possible:
Every penny donated goes directly to those in need. We have no administrative costs, thanks to donated stationery and volunteer trustees.
As demand continues to rise—driven by changes in Universal Credit and the release of mentally ill individuals into unfurnished accommodation—we urgently need additional sources of funding.
As this is the Rotary Club Coventry Jubilee’s own charity, members and supporters are invited to consider making a personal donation or recommending potential funding partners.
